After spending quite a few years publishing indie games, Annapurna Interactive has announced that it is creating its own in-house game development studio. The company hasn’t announced any project or even a name for the studio as of yet.
The internal studio is being created in Los Angeles, California, and developers are being recruited for roles like game director and senior producer.
“We’ve had the immense honor of working with some of the most talented independent game creators in the world,” said Annapurna Interactive president Nathan Gary. “Many of us came from an internal development background and are excited to make this a part of Annapurna Interactive moving forward. We can’t wait to share more about what’s to come—anything is possible.”
The company is famous for publishing critically acclaimed indie games like Gorogoa, Sayonara Wild Hearts and What Remains of Edith Finch.
