After just a day of releasing a tease for a new Fallout, Bethesda has released an official trailer for their next instalment of the up and coming Fallout 76. The game is set to release on PC, XBOX, and PS4. The release date is yet to be announced.

Not much has been shown as of yet about the story or setting of the game, but from what we have established from the trailer is that the game will be set before the original Fallout, seen by the clock and the calendar in the background. The game will focus on the inhabitants inside of vault 76, 20 years after the nuclear apocalypse.

Referencing from Fallout 3 and 4 suggests that Vault 76 is one of the few ‘control’ vaults set throughout the land. While most vaults were set to function for the inhabitants as advertised, the control vaults were operated to open its doors after a fixed amount of time for the purpose of repopulation. It is said that the vaults were either flawed or designed to fail, while the few control vaults that were made were a success in their tasks. We are not exactly sure what type of game Fallout 76 will be, but it is safe to say that it will sharply focus on the vault dwellers and the inhabitants.

Although all we have seen so far is a quick trailer, Bethesda has said that we will see much more at their E3 2018 Showcase on the 10th of June. In recent years, Bethesda has not disappointed with the duration and in-depth details of their up and coming games. It is rumoured that this year will be even longer! In the 2015 Showcase for Fallout 4, Todd Howard spent over 30 minutes talking about all the aspects that the game will have.

We will soon find out everything we need to know – including a release date about the new Fallout! – at the 2018 E3 Showcase on June 10th!
